Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was created in the early 1970s by Dr. John Grinder and Dr. Richard Bandler.

NLP is derived from the work of Fritz Pearls (Gestalt therapy), Virginia Satir (Family Therapy), and Milton Erickson (Psychotherapy), all of whom were considered geniuses in the field of behavioral therapy.

NLP in its most simplified definition is the system of how people organize their thinking, feeling, language, and behaviors.

NLP is a science of the human experience.

What does NLP mean?

Neuro- We each have unique systems (maps) for processing millions of bits of data every minute through the five sensory receptors which become our sensory experience... what we feel, see, hear, taste and smell.

Linguistic - The data then passes through neurological filters where structures of belief and values reside. We assign language to the experience, creating meaning to the information received from the outside world, giving birth to our internal dialogue.

Programming - As a result of those processes, we generate sets of emotional, physiological, and behavioral responses. Over time, the neurological pathways are strengthened and these responses become patterns and those patterns repeated throughout our lifetime become our story and eventually develop into our identity. This process unconsciously constructs our everyday experience of life.

Application

With a deep understanding of these processes and how people create their maps and experiences, NLP is a proven and powerful tool used to maximize human performance. Neuro-Linguistic Programming has been written in thousands of educational books and papers and successfully used with individuals, groups, companies, and with governments circling the globe.

NLP is effectively used across a wide range of applications including education, sales, behavioral therapy, marketing, management, sports, personal development, team building, leadership development, coaching, negotiation, and parenting.

The vast majority of credible business seminars and personal development programs also utilize many aspects of NLP or are wholly based on NLP techniques.

Training

Nearly 50 years after its inception, modern-day NLP training comes in many forms with varying degrees of authenticity and effectiveness. Integrated man is proud to offer pure NLP training and continues Dr. Grinder's lineage.

As a Certifying member of the ITA (International Trainers Academy of NLP), Drake Reno works in partnership with the ITA and trains to the ITA standard.

We are proud to currently be 1 of only 3 organizations in the USA to offer training for NLP Practitioner Certification for coaches and behavioral therapists, carrying the Internationally recognized ITA seal and the signatures of Dr. John Grinder, Carmen Bostic St Clair, and Michael Carroll.
